It’s been five long years since DeSean Jackson was cut by former Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, but he looks to make his triumphant return to the city he never wanted to leave in the first place.
After three years with the Washington Redskins and two with the Tampa Bay Bucs, the veteran WR is reportedly set to be cut or traded from the team. His first choice is the Eagles and the feeling seems to not only be mutual, but almost a sure thing.
Jackson had his best years with the Eagles, with his most receiving yards and touchdowns scored coming in 2013.
Jackson is set to earn $10 million in 2019, and none of it is guaranteed going into the final year of his contract. The Bucs are last in cap space.
The 32-year-old is still a speedster that hauled in 41 receptions for 774 yards and four touchdowns in 2018.
