It’s that time of the year where rumors start to swirl about possible trades and free agent pickups. Not only that, rumors about possible big games on big days for the new league year.
The latest rumor swirled earlier this week when it was revealed Bears-Lions and Dolphins-Cowboys would be playing on Thanksgiving.
Michael Rand of the Minneapolis Star Tribune is now reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles could be traveling to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in the third game of that day.
John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, who reported about the first two games, told Sports Illustrated what he had heard about the game.
“I didn’t actually write about this but I have heard that Minnesota vs. Philadelphia is one that’s in play,” Ourand said. “It’s not dead set, but I’m told that it’s pretty likely.”
The Vikings have never hosted a Thanksgiving game, even though they have played eight games on that day against either the Cowboys or Lions.
