We’ve seen a number of big name wide receivers find new homes this offseason, and another could be adding his name to that list very soon.
According to recent reports, free agent wide receiver Julio Jones has two specific destinations on his radar at the moment—the Dallas Cowboys and his former team, the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams could use some help at wideout, having lost significant pieces to their receiving corps’ this offseason.
The Cowboys lost both Amari Cooper (in a trade to the Browns) and Cedric Wilson Jr. (to the Dolphins in free agency) already this offseason, leaving them with little depth behind Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup.
Meanwhile, the Falcons lost Russell Gage to the Buccaneers, and they were dealt another blow when it was announced that Calvin Ridley would be suspended for the entire 2022 season. They did fill one hole at the position by drafting USC product Drake London in the first round of the draft. But it looks like they could be eyeing a reunion with the franchise legend who they selected sixth overall in 2011.
Julio Jones is currently a free agent after being released by the Tennessee Titans earlier this offseason. He lasted just one year in the Music City after being dealt by the Falcons for second- and fourth-round draft picks prior to the start of last season.
