The quarterback carousel has been wild this offseason, and it’s not slowing down yet. There appears to be another couple of big name quarterbacks who could be on the move in the coming days.
One of them is obviously Baker Mayfield, who demanded a trade and later became expendable when the Cleveland Browns acquired Deshaun Watson. Mayfield has made it clear that he would prefer to be a part of the Indianapolis Colts.
However, it appears as though the Colts have their sights set on another quarterback that’s supposedly on the market.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Colts are currently in talks with the Atlanta Falcons regarding a trade for Matt Ryan. There’s no deal yet, but the two sides are attempting to work something out before Ryan’s roster bonus kicks in on Tuesday.
As Rapoport put it, if Ryan is in fact traded, it will almost certainly be to the Colts.

So where does that leave Baker Mayfield? Rapoport says that the disgruntled Browns quarterbacks will be traded eventually. But it may not be to the Colts anymore.
Of course, there’s still the chance that Indy misses out on Ryan. But if that doesn’t happen, two new teams, the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers, have emerged as possible destinations for the 2018 first overall pick.
The Panthers and Saints both have glaring needs at quarterback, so a move for Baker is definitely possible. The Seahawks have also been mentioned, although the salary cap hit and trade price may be too much for them to pull the trigger.
Either way, it’s looking like at least two more big name quarterbacks could be on the move this week. Considering the fact that the last two Super Bowl champions were teams that acquired a new QB that offseason, these are all pretty significant moves that you may want to pay close attention to.
