On Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Tom Brady‘s representatives met with prospective teams at the Combine this week, which includes the Chargers, Raiders and Colts.
If you’re thinking this is tampering, that’s because it is, since teams are only allowed to discuss their own players in conversations with agents at this point in the offseason.
However, agents have always done their due diligence by gauging the market for players at the Combine.
The Patriots have yet to reach out to Brady’s reps about a new contract.
“It’s not surprising — there’s no CBA,” Rapoport said on “NFL Now.” “The Patriots have no reason to negotiate now. It’s probably going to come closer to when the tampering window opens.”
The 42-year-old QB has also been linked to the New York Giants, Buccaneers and Titans.
