Tom Brady and Donald Trump did not agree on food and it caused their relationship to sour because of it, according to an excerpt from the forthcoming book “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future” by Jonathan Martin.
The two became friends upon first meeting in 2001 when Trump asked Brady to judge a Miss USA competition. As you know, the two of them would regularly compliment each other in public statements throughout the early 2000s. Things would change drastically after Brady married his wife Gisele Bundchen and began following a notoriously strict diet and lifestyle in 2005, Yahoo reported.
“The football star, Trump said, had not been the same after marrying Gisele Bundchen, who insisted on cooking him a painstakingly health-conscious diet,” the authors write.
Trump supposedly made those remarks in 2020.
“I think he and Ivanka would make a great combination,” Trump told Playboy in 2004.
Brady, who was spotted with a MAGA hat in his locker at the start of the 2016 campaign, distanced himself from Trump once he became president. The soon-to-be hall of famer has talked about how he struggled to balance his friendship with Trump once he entered politics. “Then the whole political aspect came, and I think I got brought into a lot of those things because it was so polarizing around the election time,” Brady told Howard Stern in April 2020. “It was uncomfortable for me, because you can’t — and not that I would undo a friendship — but the political support is so different than support of a friend.”
Trump reportedly became enraged when he found out Brady was skipping the Patriots’ White House visit in 2017. When Brady went to the White House last year, he dissed Trump for refusing to accept the 2020 election results.

“Not a lot of people think we could’ve won,” Brady said. “In fact, I think about 40 percent of the people still don’t think we won.”
Brady started shifting his eating habits in 2005 when he hired his longtime body coach Alex Guerrero. He gets 80% of his calories from plant-based sources, and just 20% of his food was meat or fish.
Trump, on the other hand, eats everything under the sun that includes fast food and well-done meat.
