With the Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson sweepstakes officially over, other teams can now come back to reality about their QB situation, and one of those teams are the New York Giants.
Because teams are so desperate for a QB, Mitch Trubisky is starting to hear his name a ton this offseason.
Per Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, one team thinks that Trubisky is going to end up with the New York Giants to compete with Daniel Jones for the starting job.
Trubisky’s best season came in 2018 when he finished with 3,223 yards passing, plus 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Trubisky was benched for Nick Foles in Week 3 of the 2020 season before regaining his starting job after Foles was injured. He finished with 2,055 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 10 games.
Trubisky appeared in 6 games for the Bills last season, completing 6 of 8 passes for 43 passing yards and an interception, as well as amassing 24 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Trubisky will always be known as the quarterback prospect selected ahead of both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson in the 2017 NFL Draft.
