Well, this isn’t a very good sign.
The Houston Texans are getting set to have mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, but one noticeable player will be missing.
On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated Jadeveon Clowney will not be in attendance and might likely skip the entire camp as the contract impasse between him the front office continues to linger.
The Texans used the franchise tag to keep Clowney from hitting free agency earlier this offseason, but contract talks must’ve taken a turn for the worst as the team had reportedly tried to trade him, which indicated that negotiations weren’t going well.
The deadline for working out an extension is coming soon (July 15).
