Could Eli Manning seriously come out of retirement for the 2020 season?
Following a 16-year career with the New York Giants that saw the majority of his last season spent on the bench, Eli Manning hung up his cleats for good and retired from the game he loved.
According to Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman, there are actually multiple teams around the league who have either tried or plan to contact the 39-year-old to gauge his interest of giving it one more go. However, the chances of Manning returning are “nil.”
Social media was abuzz a few days ago when a series of tweets alleged that Manning was in Chicago dining with the Bears. That rumor was debunked.
The two-time Super Bowl champion has absolutely nothing else to prove and made a ton of money playing the game at the highest level. There is no way he is going to go out any other way than as a New York Giant.
