A surprising new favorite has emerged to win 2024 NFL Coach of the Year honors.
Kevin Stefanski of the Cleveland Browns is the reigning NFL Coach of the Year, having guided his team to 11 wins and playoff appearances despite using five different starting quarterbacks in 2023. Stefanski also won the award in 2020 after leading Cleveland to their first playoff berth in 18 years.
According to the latest betting odds at DraftKings, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is the favorite to win NFL Coach of the Year honors at +900. Robert Saleh of the New York Jets and Jim Harbaugh (Los Angeles Chargers) are tied for second at +1100, followed by Matt LaFleur (Green Bay Packers) at +1200 and Raheem Morris (Atlanta Falcons) and DeMeco Ryans (Houston Texans) at +1300.
The Bears have had one of the busiest offseasons in recent memory. Their biggest move was drafting USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick of 2024, which they obtained via trade with the Carolina Panthers in the move up for Bryce Young.
The Bears also acquired ex-Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl wideout Keenan Allen via trade and used the No. 9 pick on can’t-miss Washington Huskies prospect Rome Odunze. So they have put Eberflus in a good position to win NFL Coach of the Year honors for 2024.

Matt Eberflus Can Cement Himself As A Top NFL Coach
Eberflus was put in a tough spot when he took over the Bears’ head coaching duties in 2022, taking over a rebuilding team that didn’t exactly put Justin Fields in the best position to succeed.
But the Bears showed significant progress in 2023, finishing 7-10 in a tough NFC North division that featured two playoff teams. Eberflus has the Bears on the right track, and a playoff appearance should be enough for him to win NFL Coach of the Year honors.
