The Dallas Cowboys have now lost two of their top four receivers from the 2021 season. And they could be without another to start the season. Needless to say, they suddenly have some holes to fill at a position that was once one of their deepest areas on the roster.
The Cowboys’ first big move came when they traded Amari Cooper to the Browns for a late-round pick.
Earlier today, they also saw Cedric Wilson get away, as the free agent wideout was signed by the Miami Dolphins. And Michael Gallup, who’s still on the Cowboys’ roster after re-signing with the club last week, may not be ready for week one of the season after suffering a torn ACL in January.
So what’s the plan in Dallas? Who is Dak Prescott going to be throwing the ball to in 2022?
According to some, there’s a belief that the Cowboys will “aggressively” try to move up in the draft in order to select the wide receiver of their choice.

This source has yet to be confirmed, but it does make enough sense for everyone to at least make note of it. After all, this is a draft that’s loaded with talented receivers, and the Cowboys are pretty much set at every other position.
After watching Dak Prescott and their offense flame out down the stretch and into the playoffs, perhaps they’ll look to inject some youthful energy into this already-dangerous unit. The Ohio State duo of Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave are two names to keep an eye out for.
