Following a temper tantrum that caused him to be suspended for the final game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was direct towards QB Ben Roethlisberger and head coach Mike Tomlin, it had become very apparent that Antonio Brown’s time with the franchise was coming to an end.
The Steelers are now expected to trade Antonio Brown before the new league year begins, which is March 13th, according to NFL expert Chris Mortensen.
You can pretty much put every single team in the league as willing participants to take a talent like Brown off the Steelers’ hands. Aside from his attitude issues, Brown is still top-3 in the entire NFL as his position, catching 104 passes for 1,297 yards in 2018 while leading the NFL with 15 touchdown catches.
His humongous cap hit will indeed hurt, but it will only count as a major cap hit for one season if he is traded.
