What is going to happen with San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk between now and the 2024 NFL Draft? For right now, it appears nothing is imminent.
While rumors have continued to swirl about the possibility of the San Francisco 49ers trading star wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk, some have held fast to the belief that the 49ers will not trade the player. Those assumptions would prove to be correct.
A new report states that the San Francisco 49ers will hold onto Brandon Aiyuk and prioritize a contract extension for the standout wide receiver.
It appears that things between them have gotten better since the end of the Super Bowl.
In the past few weeks, teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars have been mentioned as possible landing spots for Brandon Aiyuk.
Aiyuk recently hinted that he might consider playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers if the San Francisco 49ers are unwilling to offer him a contract extension at market value and opt to trade him to the AFC team. However, that could be a negotiating tactic from Aiyuk’s camp as the 49ers work to sign the receiver to a contract extension.
