Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have been very successful for the better part of twenty years, but all of that might be coming to an end if the team decided to not bring him back in 2020.
Robert Kraft has gone on record to state that he hopes Brady comes back, but he will reportedly not force head coach Bill Belichick to keep Tom Brady if he wants to move on from the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Tom E. Curran of NBC Sports Boston explains:
“The owner has declared many times he wants Brady to remain a Patriot. But my understanding is that, just as he wouldn’t force Brady to stay under a franchise tag, he won’t intercede if Belichick concludes moving on from Brady is the best course of action.
While Brady is more than open to remaining a Patriot if things seem destined to improve, the lure of being a free agent is there as well. There are about 10 teams – including the Patriots – that could be attractive landing spots or possible suitors.”
Curran mentioned Brady being under the franchise tag in his post, but that isn’t possible. Brady’s contract included a provision that prevents the Patriots from using the franchise or transition tag on him next offseason.
Just hours after Tom Brady announced in a Super Bowl ad that he’s “not going anywhere,” a moving truck was spotted outside his Massachusetts home, according to photographs obtained by The Daily Mail.

Reports suggest the Patriots are reportedly willing to offer Brady $30 million per year to keep him.
Only time will tell.
