Lamar Jackson continued to dominate as he always does with his week one performance against the New York Jets.
He may have added a chip on his shoulder before the game started.
According to ProFootballTalk, Jackson is “pissed” that ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen leaked the details of the Baltimore Ravens’ latest contract offer just hours before the game. The deal allegedly is worth up to $290 million should Jackson accept it. Jackson would have been paid around $133 million at signing.
Per the ProFootballTalk report, there is strong evidence that the contract details were leaked by the NFLPA.
Jackson completed 17 of 30 passes for 213 yards with three touchdowns and an interception for a 98.3 rating.
The Ravens’ running game never got fully revved up and they managed 64 yards, but the defense helped out by forcing a pair of turnovers.
