It looks like Marcus Peters could’ve been a member of the struggling Cleveland Browns before he got dealt to Baltimore.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Los Angeles Rams initially offered the cornerback to the Browns for G Joel Bitonio.
Browns GM John Dorsey had drafted Peters when he was in Kansas City, so the Rams tried to play on them trying to reunite, however, Dorsey countered with another deal that had former second-round G Austin Corbett to the Rams for a 2021 fifth-round pick.
The Rams decided to take their CB to its next target, the Ravens, who also were talking to the Jaguars for Jalen Ramsey, according to the report.
The 2020 fifth-round pick the Rams received from Baltimore eventually made its way to the Jags for Ramsey along with a 2021 fourth in addition to the two first-rounders.
The 26-year-old Peters recorded 14 tackles, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses in six games for the Rams.
