The Las Vegas Raiders have been the talk of the league over the past few days in regards to Jon Gruden stepping down as head coach after more emails surfaced showing the terrible language he had been using towards women, Gay people, and Roger Goodell.
Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis broke his silence Wednesday morning in the wake of Jon Gruden’s resignation, stating, “I have no comment. Ask the NFL. They have all the answers,” Davis told ESPN.
Davis didn’t want to expand, but his words suggest there is more to the situation than Gruden’s leaked and offensive emails that surfaced during an investigation into the workplace conditions with the Washington Football Team.
According to NFL reporter Jason Cole, there are people around Davis who believe the league is trying to force him to sell the Raiders.
Investigators have combed through some 650,000 emails, but only Gruden’s messages as well as Adam Schefter’s have been made public. Gruden stepped down as the Raiders’ head coach on Monday night after the New York Times reported that the longtime coach made racist, misogynistic and homophobic comments directed at Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith.

“I have resigned as Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,” Gruden said. “I love the Raiders and do not want to be a distraction. Thank you to all the players, coaches, staff, and fans of Raider Nation. I’m sorry, I never meant to hurt anyone.”
The Raiders returned to the practice field Wednesday under interim coach Rich Bisaccia, who will retain his special teams coordinator responsibilities.
