Much of the talk surrounding the Dallas Cowboys is centered around QB Dak Prescott, but there is another player on the team that is due for some big money on the team.
Amari Cooper is set to become a free agent, and if the team cannot retain their top WR, they can reportedly expect the Philadelphia Eagles to “lead the pack” on free-agency suitors, according to CBS Sports Dallas reporter Patrick Walker.
The report goes on to state that the Eagles “are reportedly considering moving on from Alshon Jeffery following a season marred with injury and a rumored rift with Carson Wentz.”
“And, of course, they’d love to stick it to their bitter rival from Texas in the process.”
NFL Network’s Jane Slater made her case why both sides would benefit from this pairing:
Cooper caught 79 balls for 1,189 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Both his yardage and touchdown season totals were career-highs.
