The New England Patriots are actively trying to replace the huge loss with Rob Gronkowski being retired by trying to make a big trade before the 2019 season.
The franchise is said to be discussing a trade with the Minnesota Vikings involving tight end Kyle Rudolph, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.
Who wouldn’t want a guy who could stretch the field like this?
This offseason, the Patriots have added tight ends Benjamin Watson, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Matt LaCosse.
The Pats know they might not be able to replace what they lost in Gronk, which is why they also added talent at running back with rookie Damien Harris, and receiver with rookie N’Keal Harry and veterans Demaryius Thomas, Dontrelle Inman and Maurice Harris.
One things for sure, nobody is ever going to count New England out as they always seem to find a way to be playing for yet another Super Bowl trophy.
