Packers fans just want the internal bleeding to stop.
Packers defensive end Za’Darius Smith is “believed to be unhappy” his franchise exercised the automatic conversion option on his contract, converting a significant portion of his 2021 salary into guaranteed money and pushing his cap hit against Green Bay over $28 million for the 2022 season.
Because of that, Smith knows he’s likely to be cut of traded after this season, per ProFootballTalk.
His frustrations with the team were evident when he tweeted, “I need a realtor in GreenBay ASAP!!”
He later clarified the comment, saying it was related to the bullish market conditions:

He now joins quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams facing questions about their future in Green Bay as training camp gets underway. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Rodgers had “told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team.”
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Friday that Adams and the Packers have broken off talks about a long-term contract extension and are currently in a “bad place.”
It will interesting to see where this team ends up next season.
