If the Green Bay Packers decide to put Aaron Rodgers on the trade market, at least one person believes they could receive a significant return in a deal.
According to multiple reports, Rodgers wants out of Green Bay after demanding a trade earlier this offseason.
According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Green Bay is looking to cash in big time if they trade him.
“Per a league source, the Broncos are leery about the total cost of trading for Rodgers, between his expected compensation and the general belief that the Packers would want three first-round picks and a second-round pick for him.”
Back in May, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky said a high-ranking personnel executive from an opposing team said the Packers could get two first-round picks and a second-rounder in a trade for the three-time NFL MVP. Rodgers doesn’t want to return to the Packers amid ongoing frustration with the front office. It was reported that he wants general manager Brian Gutekunst fired before he will reconsider his stance.
The Broncos and Raiders are both intriguing landing spots because of what Rodgers would do to boost their playoff chances. Denver, in particular, looks like it’s only a quarterback away from being a potential Super Bowl contender. Their asking price may be way too much.
