The Green Bay Packers do not want to trade Aaron Rodgers, but if they are forced to, they want to avoid sending him ot certain teams in the league.
Per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Packers don’t want to trade him to an NFC team.
The Broncos and Titans are said to be interested, and the Steelers could get involved at some point. The Denver Broncos are reportedly “all in” in their pursuit of a trade for Aaron Rodgers.
Playing for the Packers and retiring are still considered the two most likely outcomes for Rodgers’ offseason. Green Bay has reportedly made a “strong push” to sign its 38-year-old quarterback to a long-term contract that would almost certainly make him the NFL’s highest-paid player.
CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora also reports that the Green Bay brass has done everything in the organization’s power to entice Rodgers to stay and have a plan in place to keep Davante Adams and build around Rodgers. That comes after Rodgers told The Pat McAfee Show last week that he is in a much better place with the team than he was at this point last season, which was widely interpreted that Rodgers was leaning towards staying with the Packers.
