Let the rumors start right now.
Late last month, the Los Angeles Chargers granted RB Melvin Gordon permission to seek a trade and would soon inform his reps that discussions regarding contract extensions will be postponed until the conclusion of this season.
Well, it seems one team would like to have him on their squad. ESPN’s Josina Anderson stated her source told her one team has had discussions with the Chargers on a potential trade.
Mike Florio of PFT would then drop a report that stated the Chargers were looking for a 1st round pick for Gordon.
“Per a league source, the Chargers have told at least one other team that the price for Gordon is a first-round pick and a fifth-round pick.”
Gordon is reportedly seeking a deal worth closer to $13 million per season, but the team has refused to move off its offer of $10 million per season.
