A memorial for Khyree Jackson and his two friends, Anthony Lytton Jr., and Isaiah Hazel, turned out to be the scene of a shocking incident late Friday night as two people suffered gunshot wounds.
Jackson, a former Oregon cornerback drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in April, was the victim of a fatal accident last week, with Lytton and Hazel also perishing in a Maryland car crash that still has the world of football shaken.
The three football players, who were high school teammates, were honored at the Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, on Friday night. However, things turned ugly after gunfire broke out in the parking lot.
Shomari Stone of FOX 5 reported on the incident shortly after midnight, revealing two people were injured, with one in critical condition.
“We’re in the parking lot. We’re coming out. We saw people lighting off fireworks, right? Things everything’s okay. Moments later, around within 20 to 30 minutes after that, shots ring out right here in this parking lot right here, in front of Wise High School. You can see police are here right now,” he remarked.
“This is an extensive, relatively large crime scene. Several shots were fired. People telling me, in a source close to the investigation says that one person was shot in the chest. Another person was shot in the leg. Now we’re also told that a woman was shot and a man was shot. Now one person is in critical condition. The other is stable.”

One Of The Victims From Khyree Jackson’s Memorial Has Reportedly Passed Away
Stone revealed in a subsequent update that one of the victims was pronounced dead at hospital.
“An adult male was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead, according to police,” he reported along with colleague Elissa Sammy. “The second victim, an adult female, has been taken to the hospital in stable condition.”
This is an incredibly sad situation, especially given the circumstances that led to it. These three young men losing their lives is already regrettable; this latest development just made it a lot worse.
