Melvin Gordon wanted to bet on himself, and it seems he failed miserably.
The free agent running back held out for four games during the 2019 season in hopes of getting a better contract, but the Chargers weren’t biting.
Now, he’s a free agent and finding it difficult to find a contract that suits him. In fact, no team has offered him anything close to what he turned down from the Chargers in 2019, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Garafolo reports the Chargers offered him around $10 million a year.
Upon his return, Gordon played in twelve games and rushed for 612 yards on 162 carries to go along with 42 receptions for 296 yards receiving and nine total touchdowns.
