Well, isn’t this just a slap in the face of Saints fans?
Last weekend, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman took off in a full sprint to deliver a helmet-to-helmet shot on New Orleans Saints WR Tommylee Lewis that wasn’t flagged for anything.
It changed the entire complexion of the game, because if it had been called correctly on the field, the Saints could’ve ran the clock out and won the game with a field goal. Instead, they were forced to kick a field goal early which allowed the Rams to tie and ultimately win in overtime.
On Friday, the NFL made an unofficial statement about that play by fining Coleman for the hit.
