The Las Vegas Raiders do not have their future quarterback on the team and with so many players being signed already in free agency, the team will need to look to the NFL Draft for an answer.
The Las Vegas Raiders 2024 NFL draft picks order is finalized unless trades occur. Las Vegas has 9 picks in the April NFL draft. Their first pick isn’t until pick 13, which is well away from the spot where they need to be to grab a quarterback of the future.
A new report says the team is desperate to trade up before next month to secure a top-3 pick. They reportedly have their eyes on taking former LSU Tigers quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The top 3 picks in the NFL Draft belong to the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and the New England Patriots.
The trade will definitely not come from the Chicago Bears as they have traded Justin Fields and all signs point to them taking USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall draft pick.
The second NFL Draft pick belongs to the Washington Commanders, who are also desperate to find their next starting quarterback. It would take a motherload of draft picks and a player or two for the Commanders to move out of that spot.

The third pick in the NFL Draft belongs to the New England Patriots, who have traded Mac Jones and ushered in a new era with Jared Mayo as head coach after the dismissal of Bill Belichick this offseason.
Four quarterbacks dominate the top of the prospect rankings: Southern California’s Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy.
If the Raiders want to move up, then their best move would be at number four with the Arizona Cardinals who do not need a quarterback.
Las Vegas Raiders Are Desperate To Find Franchise Quarterback In NFL Draft For New Head Coach Antonio Pierce
The Las Vegas Raiders named Antonio Pierce interim head coach after firing former head coach Josh McDaniels amid the 2023 season, via Wikipedia. The team played much differently under him and soon the players campaigned to have him as the full-time head coach.
He now has that job, but now the real work begins as the team is desperate to find a franchise quarterback. That QB might come from the NFL Draft, but the team sits well outside of that range to nab one.
A huge franchise-altering trade would have to happen either before or during the NFL Draft if the team thinks they have found their guy.
Should the Raiders make a huge trade in the NFL Draft to take Jayden Daniels? We would love to hear from you in the comments.
