One NFL owner is reportedly going to do everything in his power to get Jim Harbaugh to stick around with the Michigan Wolverines.
Harbaugh led the No. 1 ranked Wolverines to their first national championship since 1997, cruising to a 34-13 victory over the No. 2 ranked Washington Huskies. Long before Harbaugh climbed the mountaintop, however, there was plenty of speculation that he may eye a return to the NFL.
For what it’s worth, a report from Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda states that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is going to “stop at nothing in” an effort to keep Harbaugh with the Wolverines program.
As Pauline noted, Ross is an alum of the University of Michigan. The university’s business school, the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, is named after the 83-year-old.
Forbes lists Ross’ net worth at $10.1 billion. The Dolphins owner has donated nearly half a billion dollars to the University of Michigan, so who knows just how far he may go in trying to convince Harbaugh to stay there?
The Los Angeles Chargers have long been mentioned as a potential landing spot for the former San Francisco 49ers head coach. The Carolina Panthers, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders also have coaching vacancies, though Vegas is expected to strongly consider maintaining interim HC Antonio Pierce.

Harbaugh has gone 89-25-0 over his nine years at Michigan. He led the 49ers to three straight NFC Championship Games (2011, 2012 and 2013) and a trip to Super Bowl 47, where they fell to the Baltimore Ravens.
