The disciplinary hearing for Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to continue throughout this week, as both sides continue to present their case to a retired federal judge who will determine if he violated the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Even though the league is pushing for a one-year suspension of the controversial QB, it seems they may accept something much lower that would have him playing this season.
From Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press: “I’m also told the NFL, despite insisting on indefinite suspension, wants to avoid the appeals process — source said ‘a terrible situation for everyone involved’ — so league is more likely to abide by Sue Robinson’s ruling IF she came back with 6-8 games.”
According to a new report from Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, the hearing could last until Friday.
“Deshaun Watson’s disciplinary hearing in front of Sue L. Robinson adjourned on Tuesday evening, but will resume Wednesday and could last at least another day or two, a source told cleveland.com,” Cabot said.

Dozens of women have sued Watson claiming sexual misconduct during massage sessions. The attorney representing all 24 of the accusers said last week that 20 of those cases were settled.
Watson met with at least 66 women for massage appointments over a 17-month period, according to a report from the New York Times. The report also noted that Watson was provided with an NDA by the Houston Texans’ head of security.
In March, a Texas grand jury declined to charge Watson criminally. Soon after, the Texans would trade him to Cleveland and he would be rewarded with a fully guaranteed $230 million deal.
