Deshaun Watson is going to be suspended. The only thing we do not know is how many games he will receive.
According to Mark Maske of The Washington Post, a “significant” suspension could be looming for the Pro Bowl quarterback. Maske is reporting that Watson could be suspended for all 17 games this season.
“The league ‘probably’ will seek a suspension of one full season for Watson, a person on Watson’s side of the case said Friday,” Maske wrote. “A person familiar with the league’s view of the case cautioned to be ‘careful’ about specifying a precise length at this point for the suspension the NFL will seek.”
Maske reports that the NFL hopes to have the whole thing, including any potential appeals to commissioner Roger Goodell or a person designated to oversee the matter, completed by the start of training camp.
The NFLPA reportedly intends to cite the lack of suspension from the NFL regarding the personal conduct of owners such as Daniel Snyder, Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones as part of Watson’s defense.

Watson is facing 24 active civil lawsuits, soon to be 26, from women for sexual misconduct. He has maintained his innocence throughout.
“Like I said, I never assaulted anyone or I never harassed anyone or I never disrespected anyone,” Watson said Tuesday. “I never forced anyone to do anything.”
After demanding a trade from the Texans, lawsuits started pouring in for Watson, which led to the team making him inactive for all games in 2021.
