The 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas is still on track for next month as the league monitors the spread of the coronavirus, a spokesman said Tuesday.
“Our plans remain in place,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an email to News 3. “The NFL continues to closely monitor coronavirus developments and has been in contact with the World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the NFL-NFLPA’s medical experts at the Duke Infection Control Outreach Network.”
“We will continue to monitor and share guidance as the situation warrants and as our experts recommend,” McCarthy said.
The draft will be held, but it seems it will be done without having fans there, according to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report.
He then stated that those decisions have already been made.
