We are just over three weeks removed from Super Bowl 58 and the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season, but things are about to get exciting again.
Speaking to league agents, the ML Football X/Twitter account reports that things will be “insane” and “bonkers” over the next few weeks of the NFL offseason. The account noted that there will be heavy spending in free agency as well as “some very surprising moves.”
The new league year begins next Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST. That’s when free agents are eligible to sign with new teams, and when all 32 clubs can officially make trades. The 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan from Apr. 25 to 27.
This year’s NFL free agent class could include four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Kirk Cousins, all-world Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, Miami Dolphins star DT Christian Wilkins and standout running backs Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs and Saquon Barkley.
Future Hall of Famer Russell Wilson will also hit the free agent market, with the Denver Broncos announcing that they’ll officially release him next week.
On the trade front, the likes of Davante Adams, Justin Fields, Brandon Aiyuk, Alvin Kamara, Marshon Lattimore, Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Diontae Johnson and Haason Reddick are among the notable players who’ve been mentioned as possible trade candidates.
