This would be the most New York Jets thing ever.
After the Steelers agreed to let Bell hit free agency earlier the year, the New York wasted no time and signed him to a four-year deal worth $52.5 million, including $27 million guaranteed.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reported it was that contract that had something to do with the Jets organization dismissing general manager Mike Maccagnan from his position and making head coach Adam Gase the interim GM until one is found.
Just in case the Jets didn’t think there was enough of a circus going on with the two local New York teams, there comes a damning report from NFL Insider John Clayton who stated the team could trade Bell before the start of the new season.
Complete circus show.
