The New England Patriots are ready to make some moves as we move closer to the NFL Draft.
The New England Patriots have plenty of options in next week’s NFL Draft, including making a blockbuster trade or two and still ending up getting a coveted quarterback.
The New England Patriots do not appear locked into keeping the No. 3 pick as Patriots director of scouting Eliot Wolf told reporters Thursday that the team is “open for business” regarding trades.
This potential movement is said to include every pick they own in the NFL Draft. The team has many holes to fill, so the thinking is to get as many picks as possible to help in several different areas.
“We’re open to anything — moving up, moving down. We’re open for business in the first round and in every round,” Wolf said, via Bleacherreport.com. “We have some holes we feel like we need to fill in the draft. We’re a draft-and-develop team. The more picks we have, the better.”

With the third overall pick in the draft, the Patriots should attract a lot of trade interest from clubs looking to move up the board to select a quarterback. Of course, New England also wants a quarterback badly, and a deal with them might cost astronomical amounts of money and draft capital.

A unique chance exists for the Patriots to choose one of the best quarterback prospects available in the draft. New England Patriots Desperately Need QB In NFL Draft As They Head Into New Era
The Mac Jones era and Bill Belichick era are finally over as the franchise embarks on a new time where the team needs to desperately find their stud quarterback in the NFL Draft to ensure things will go much better than they have the past three or four years.
The Patriots have been widely expected to take a quarterback with the No. 3 pick. LSU’s Jayden Daniels and North Carolina’s Drake Maye have been the two quarterbacks most often linked to New England.
The Patriots traded former starter Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Jacoby Brissett, Bailey Zappe, and Nathan Rourke are the three quarterbacks currently on the depth chart. None of them are the future of the team.
