Former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was found dead Monday at a residence in South Florida. He was just 35 years old.
Vontae Davis, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback over 10 seasons in the NFL, is the brother of Super Bowl champion tight end Vernon Davis.
Since the announcement of his death, more details have since come out.
Davis, who played for the Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo Bills, was discovered in his Southwest Ranches home.
According to police audio obtained by TMZ Sports, an unidentified woman called 911 and told dispatchers that she discovered Vontae Davis’ body in the gym area of the house.
Davis, a first-round pick of the Dolphins who played the first three seasons of his career in Miami, had lived in the Southwest Ranches home since 2016. At the time of his untimely death, he was married to Megan Harpe, a Palm Beach attorney specializing in family law.

She reportedly was unable to find him initially before dispatchers attempted to get her to obtain a defibrillator after locating his body. It remains unclear if the woman or anybody else in the house retrieved or even attempted to use the device on Vontae Davis.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene after police responded to the calls from his property. Initial indications are that there is no foul play suspected in his untimely death.

Davis played in 10 seasons in the NFL and retired in the middle of a game while he was a member of the Buffalo Bills.
