The NFL season may be well underway, but there are still some key free agents who are available on the open market. One of them is Ndamukong Suh, who has apparently been receiving quite a bit of interest through the first two weeks of the season.
According to NFL Insider Matt Lombardo, there have been “three-to-five teams expressing interest in signing Suh, over the course of the first two weeks of the regular season.”
Suh is currently waiting out his options as he would prefer to join a contender. And despite being 35-years-old, he still appears to have some gas left in the tank — based on his six sacks in each of the last two seasons as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As for where Suh may end up, Lombardo doesn’t provide information on which teams have contacted the defensive lineman, but he does offer up four “perfect fits” for his services.
Those four teams are the Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
One thing that all four of these teams have in common is they appear to be bonafide Super Bowl contenders through the first two weeks of the season. Each of them could also use some added depth to their interior pass rush, which Suh can surely provide.
Whether any of these four teams are actually among those showing interesting in Suh at this point remains to be seen, however.
