Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick might be happy that Antonio Brown is gone, but certain players on the team are not.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there were several players on the New England Patriots that privately voiced their displeasure with the team’s decision to release receiver Antonio Brown.
“Several players privately voiced their displeasure that the move was made, as Brown had made a positive impression on teammates in a short time. He did things in practice no one else could do.”
However, Kraft and company basically had no choice after finding out Brown sent intimidating text messages to a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct in a Sports Illustrated article earlier this week.
New England signed Brown for $10 million guaranteed, $9 million of which came in the form of a signing bonus.
But, Brown would take to Twitter and fire off multiple tweets, with one taking aim at Kraft that pretty much assured that he will not be getting any of that money and will have to file a grievance to see the money.
