Jim Harbaugh is again being tipped to return to the NFL after spending close to 10 years out of the league.
The Michigan head coach has been linked to multiple teams over the years but continues to stick it out in the NCAA. There are many who feel like his college coaching spell could come to an end given the current state of affairs at Michigan, however.
Harbaugh has already served a three-game suspension earlier this season and is in danger of additional punishment as college football’s governing body has opened up a fresh investigation following allegations of sign stealing while a separate probe has been hanging over the university for a while.
According to Shervon Fakhimi of ClutchPoints, the HC could return to the pros to coach the Chicago Bears. Though Chicago managed a win over the Las Vegas Raiders without their starting quarterback, Matt Eberflus is under significant pressure and could see his era come to an end soon, with the team 2-5 in their first seven games this season despite all of the impressive offseason moves.
It also appears that there could be something brewing in the locker room following Justin Fields’ criticism of the coaching staff earlier this year.
Whether or not Harbaugh decides to return to the NFL remains to be seen, but the situation at Michigan could end up forcing him out.
