The 2018 campaign was a weird one for the Miami Dolphins, as they experienced some extreme highs, only to fall apart and end up 7-9 for the year and miss the playoffs. Shortly after the season, reports surfaced stating that the team was finally ready to move on from Ryan Tannehill as the quarterback of the franchise.
Now that the team is officially in the market for a quarterback, they are not trying to find a quarterback in the upcoming 2019 draft, rather they are looking way ahead to the 2020 draft.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the team is telling head coaching candidates to be very patient in the 2019 season as it will be a rebuilding year to get them what they want in 2020. basically, the team plans on sucking bad enough with hopes of getting a top-3 pick.
Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert and Jake Fromm are just a list of quarterbacks that are expected to be available in that draft.
New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores has been tabbed as possibly the newest head coach in Miami, but only after the Pats season comes to an end. If so, he likely knows what’s in store for 2019.
