Max Kellerman appears to be on his way out from ESPN’s ‘First Take, which he co-hosts with Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim, both Front Office Sports and the New York Post report.
Kellerman will be removed from his post opposite Smith, where he has been since he replaced Skip Bayless in July 2016.
“This is not the end of the Kellerman at ESPN, as he is likely to have an increased role on ESPN Radio and potentially his own TV show, according to sources,” Andrew Marchand of the New York Post said.
ESPN reportedly won’t replace Kellerman on First Take. Smith is expected to debate topics with a rotating group of ESPN employees and guests.
The New York Post added that Smith has often appeared disenchanted with Kellerman. That appears likely when Smith led the charge when ESPN made a run at former co-host Skip Bayless.
According to sources Front Office Sports spoke to, it’s possible that Kellerman will be added to the lineup of Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams, and Zubin Mehenti on ESPN’s radio show Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin.
