Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Las Vegas Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Officers stopped Lynch and “determined that Lynch was impaired and conducted an arrest,” according to the Las Vegas Police Department.
According to the police, Lynch “left a trail of damage” from driving on the road without a tire for so long.
“We’re told Lynch left a trail of damage on the road until his car reached its resting point … with visible marks on the pavement and curbs. As we previously reported, sources say Lynch was driving into roadside curbs prior to the arrest.
Lynch was taken to jail and booked for DUI — he’s also facing charges of failure/refusing to surrender proof of security, unregistered vehicle and failure to drive in a travel lane.”

Lynch was cited for a failure to refuse/surrender, a failure to drive in a travel lane and the vehicle he was driving was not registered, according to police. Back in 2012, he was arrested for driving under the influence in Oakland.
Lynch spent four years with the Buffalo Bills but became one of the game’s best running backs during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. He also spent time with the then-Oakland Raiders after retiring for a season.
He came out of retirement to lace up for the Seahawks again late in the 2019 season before hanging the cleats up for good.
The five-time Pro Bowler won the 2014 Super Bowl with the Seahawks and finished his career with 94 touchdowns and rushing for 10,413 yards, the 29th-most in NFL history.
