According to Adam Schefter, the Rams are open to trading Aqib Talib.
Schefter claims that the Rams are trying to free up cap space enough in the future to make sure to have enough money to sign newly acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey to an extension.
He adds the Rams had talks to trade Talib within the past couple of weeks but Talib opposed the move and turned down the chance to be traded.
Talib is currently on injured reserve with fractured ribs, but he is eligible to return later during the 2019 season.
The 33-year-old, who is in the final year of a six-year, $57 million deal, has appeared in five games for the Rams and recorded 14 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
