The weather for the San Francisco 49ers-Buffalo Bills contest may be much worse than initially expected.
As every Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers fan knows by now, heavy snow has hit the Orchard Park area. The Bills and 49ers will play in the snow under the bright ‘Sunday Night Football’ lights.
According to retired weather expert Tom Niziol, who previously worked at The Weather Channel and the National Service Network, lightning may end up hitting the Buffalo area and thus affect the football game:
I was afraid of this. This is a very intense lake-effect snow band off Lake Huron, and is stretching down toward WNY and Orchard Park. It has lightning in it as you can see as well. I will monitor it, but it could put a real wrench into the @BuffaloBills game. @NFL pic.twitter.com/y3bR45UDFF
