For the 24 teams that are not still alive in the NFL playoffs, the offseason continues to move one.
There are eight teams currently looking for new direction with a new head coach: the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.
Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been a popular name in the rumor mill as head-coaching interviews get underway. As you’ve heard, he has most notably been associated with the Raiders position.
On the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that he believes Harbaugh would be interested in a return to the NFL. However, he added more interesting comments on the situation.
“I believe he’d be interested,” Rapoport said when asked about Harbaugh potentially returning to the NFL. “Now, he’s also in negotiations with Michigan. So is his interest in the NFL kind of like ‘Hey, Michigan [I could be interested in the pros].’ I can’t remember a situation where there’s so much stuff coming from the Harbaugh side/Michigan side talking about NFL interest. It makes me wonder if it’s on purpose.”
Rapoport said “I know the Raiders have some interest, but they haven’t engaged at all.”

According to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, many believe that Harbaugh has genuine interest in the Las Vegas job.
“Multiple sources inside Michigan football told The Athletic this week that they think if Harbaugh is offered the Raiders head-coaching job, he’d take it,” Feldman wrote.
Las Vegas could also pull the interim tag from Rich Bisaccia, who helped guide the team to the postseason this year. The players absolutely love him after he took over for Jon Gruden.
