Laremy Tunsil went straight to the playbook of Richard Sherman.
On Friday, the Houston Texans made Laremy Tunsil the highest-paid left tackle when they struck a blockbuster three-year contract extension with the Pro Bowl left tackle that averages $22 million per year.
Tunsil receives $57 million guaranteed, including a $13 million signing bonus.
On top of that, it turns out Tunsil negotiated this contract on his own directly with HC/GM Bill O’Brien.
The Texans gave up a lot to acquire Tunsil last season, so it’s not surprising they would want to hang on to him to help keep Deshaun Watson upright.
