The Packers and Aaron Rodgers find themselves in a standoff. Reports about Rodgers’s discontent with the Packers’ front office hit a tipping point last season when the team cut a WR he liked while also trading up to select QB Jordan Love in the first round.
Though no deal is imminent, a trade for the nine-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is more likely than not. The 37-year-old is coming off one of his best seasons yet, earning 2020 NFL MVP honors after racking up 4,299 yards, a whopping 48 touchdowns, and just 5 interceptions.
Aside from the Broncos who have been mentioned a lot, there is another team who is also in the mix.
While the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly “happy” with Derek Carr as their starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers was said to be “intrigued” by the idea of playing for the franchise.
“[Aaron Rodgers] is reportedly intrigued by the Raiders as well, so they have to be on this list. They’re happy with Derek Carr; nothing’s going on right now, and they very well could extend Derek Carr sometime soon. But the Raiders look into every single quarterback situation. … They looked at past free agents or trade options. So, Jon Gruden is sort of always lurking. You can’t discount them.”
ESPN’s Mike Greenburg believes that Jon Gruden is going to do what it takes to land Rodgers.

“It is my belief that Jon Gruden will do anything, and would give anything, to get Aaron Rodgers,” Greenburg said on ESPN’s Get Up.
In an ESPN article published last week, Bill Barnwell proposed the below proposal for a Raiders-Packers deal:
Packers get: QB Derek Carr, 2022 first-round pick, 2022 second-round pick, 2023 first-round pick
Raiders get: Rodgers, 2023 fourth-round pick
As good as Carr is, he is not on par with the likes of Patrick Mahomes or Rodgers. If Justin Herbert takes a leap in Year 2, Las Vegas could very well see themselves with the fourth-best quarterback in the AFC West. That’s assuming if Rodgers lands in Denver.
