Rumors of Tom Brady possibly being headed to the Las Vegas Raiders just picked up steam and it seems the team’s interest in the 42-year-old old quarterback appears to be legitimate.
Should the New England Patriots and Tom Brady not come to terms on a deal ahead of March 18, this report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicates that the Las Vegas Raiders will go after Brady and they have the full support of head coach Jon Gruden.
“One of the teams expected to be leading the way if Brady gets to free agency is the Raiders, whose coach, Jon Gruden, is a long-time admirer of the three-time MVP and six-time Super Bowl champion,” Schefter reported. “The two have a good relationship, and league sources believe that Gruden, who is known to be a highly effective recruiter, wants Brady on the Raiders.”
Las Vegas has been linked to Brady a ton in recent weeks, especially after Brady was spotted talking to owner Mark Davis at UFC 246.
The idea of Tom Brady opening their new stadium in 2020 is just way too good to pass up if given the opportunity.
Gruden was the head coach of the Raiders during the playoffs in 2002 when the infamous “Tuck Rule” screwed his team from advancing to the AFC Championship in 2002. The opposing QB on that day: Tom Brady.
The 42-year-old Brady threw for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions during the 2019 season.. He also rushed for 34 yards and three touchdowns.
