Tyreek Hill may have played his final game as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Wednesday, the reports came in that contract talks had stalled and the team gave the speedy wideout permission to seek a trade. According to Adam Schefter, the Jets and Dolphins are two of the teams in serious talks to trade for the six-time Pro Bowler.
Aaron Wilson adds the asking price is expected to be two first-round picks and more.
The two sides have an offer on the table, but the wide receiver market shifted in a big way once the Raiders gave Davante Adams a $28.5 million per year deal. Kansas City was looking at around $21-$22 million a year in a new deal for Hill. After seeing what Christian Kirk received from the Jacksonville Jaguars, I don’t think anyone believes that’s going to cut it for a wideout of Hill’s caliber.
Hill has been a staple of the organization since Mahomes came onto the scene, and not seeing him there scaring opposing defenses would be shocking and league shifting for any team that trades for him.
