ESPN’s Chris Mortensen stated on Sunday’s “NFL Countdown” that the possibility of Jason Witten joining Jason Garrett with the Giants is something to keep an eye on during this offseason.
Witten has not commented on what he is going to be doing with his career going forward, but the newest reports suggests there is a chance he might be open to playing for another team.
New Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy stated he has spoken to Witten, but they plan to give him all the time he needs to decided what’s next for his career.
The 37-year-old retired and was hired as a broadcast analyst for “Monday Night Football,” but after one year out of football, he suddenly returned for the Cowboys 2019 season and racked up 63 passes for 529 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
