The Dallas Cowboys are seemingly doing everything to get a new head coach but have yet to make an official decision regarding their current head coach Jason Garrett.
Garrett, who is under contract until January 14th, is still campaigning to remain in Dallas as the head coach, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer. Even though the team has already interviewed Super Bowl winner Mike McCarthy who still remains there 24 hours later.
Glazer said he’s “never seen anything like it,” noting the Cowboys have “gone through it now a couple of times this week to say, ‘Ok, you’re out as our head coach.’”
Per Glazer, the Cowboys have maintained that “We’re moving on, we’re starting to interview other people.”
The 53-year-old Garrett has led the team to a record of 85-67, but has grossly underachieved with the franchise that has only garnered 3 playoff appearances.
